On Saturday, March 7, Create:Fixate rocked downtown Los Angeles with another inspiring installment of world class art and cutting edge music. ”Wisdom Within Us” was Create:Fixate’s best attended event to date, featuring some of Los Angeles’ most promising, up and coming artists as well as a very rare, intimate appearance by superstar DJ Adam Freeland.Guests entering the gallery were greeted by a circle of collage sculptures by Treiops Treyfid. The walls of the main room were populated with a broad array of work from artists including Kerianne O’Connor and Best in Show honoree Liz Brizzi, along with the “Wisdom Within Us” compilation wall featuring a single, topical work by each of the evening’s featured artists.
Those venturing into the back room could stroll through the work of Jason Hadley and Michelle Perone while soaking in the music of Venice legends Spain and the Love Grenades. As the night wore on, Adam Freeland set up camp on the patio, moving and inspiring dancing patrons into the early hours of the morning.
The outside courtyard pulsated visually with animated images created by multimedia artists Museum/of/Traffic while live painting by Michael Pukac, Hans Haveron, and Carlos Vera amazed all with their raw talent and spontaneous creativity. Many patrons left the event with freshly painted original works by Mr. Pukac, while others simply stared in amazement at Mr. Vera’s 20 foot long live canvas.
With over 1,500 attendees from the world of art, architecture, film, television, music, technology, design and more, the event brought together the diverse and colorful characters of Southern California’s creative community making it the biggest night in Create-Fixate’s 8-year history.
